Parking at Garstang Subscription Club

Garstang Subscription Bowling Club advises that parking is not permitted on the private car park owned by Garstang Community Sports Club. (ie. the tennis/football club entrance) The owners rent the spaces out and need them to be kept free at all times. Th ere re is a public car park off the High Street and an entrance to the club from there. Charges apply. Message from Joan Rothwell (Club Secretary).

Harry Singleton

It is with great sadness that Harry died peacefully on Friday night, 27th March 2026 in Royal Preston Hospital. Harry along with his brother Robert were founder members of Whitechapel ; Inglewhite Bowling Club and supported the club in so many ways. Following Roberts death Harry continued being Greens man, Committee member, Club President, Team Captain, Events coordinator, including the Annual Whist ; Domino / Hot Pot Supper event. The list goes on. Harry was a well respected and loved member of the bowling community at home, regionally and as far away as Cyprus. He will be greatly missed. Condolences go to all his family and friends at this sad time. The funeral details will be passed on as soon as they are known.

Sandy Lane will be closed from William Young Way to Bartle Lane until 4th May. Then they will move to either William Young Way or Bartle Lane. Access to the club will be from either the Woodplumpton end of Sandy Lane, or the Saddle Inn end of Bartle Lane.
