It is with great sadness I must report the passing of Alan Noblet on Saturday 11th April. Alan was a member of the Barton Bowling Club for many years. He was part of the team who built the new pavilion, and President of the club twice; plus, he was a team captain, greensman and general fixer upperer. It would be impossible to count the number of hours Alan spent on and around the green, making it a better place for all members. We shall sorely miss his presence and support.

You number the cards 1 to 8 in any order you want (not on averages/merit). Cup games are random turn of the cards not top and bottom 4 or averages. Numbers 1-4 are first half games and 5-8 second half.

Both Owd Nell’s teams have been withdrawn from the league, all fixtures will be replaced with a bye.

Can all clubs please send me who their secretary is and their safeguarding officer is thanks, there is now an option to add safeguarding officer to the contact information page.

Reminder that registration night is next Tuesday 24th March at Hambleton SSC from 7.30pm

Anybody who is a non-member of Hambleton social club will have to sign in in the sheet I will have if they want to buy a drink (no sign in charge)

The AGM 4/2/26 was well attended.Matters Arising..Only one issue arose in the season and it was quickly dealt with.Our financial position is stable.Payments online if possible.Late payments will be penalised.

League and Cup fixtures were well organised and support was excellent.

Any Other Business…It was suggested the Presentation evening was such a success that instead of finishing fairly early some form of entertainment might be worthwhile.Suggestions please. The meeting closed with thanks to treasurer Anthony, secretary Gary and Steve for his Safety Officer advice.

Finally the Chairman invited the members to explore need to increase the YOUNGER GENERATION TO JOIN US in enjoying a simple game of bowls.
