The Roy Tandy Competition.
Thank you to Carleton Bowling Club for hosting this competition and to Ann Henderson for organising excellent refreshments. The green was in fantastic condition getting faster by the hour. Thank you to all the clubs for providing raffle prizes, it is most appreciated. Thank you everyone who helped with measuring and marking. Many thanks to Lorna for selling the raffle tickets. I really appreciated and was humbled by the help and support given to me. I could not have got through the day without you all. We were blessed with fabulous weather as always on this occasion. it was good to see many different players entering. I hope everyone enjoyed the day and will contunue to support not only this special competition but the league also.
The final was won by Dave Gwilliam (Marton Institute) beating Phil McVittie (Marton Institute) in a well fought battle from both. The semi-finalists were Jackie Gloag (Marton Institute) and Dave Porter (Norbreck). A final thank you to Elaine Cottrell (Roy Tandy;s daughter) in presenting the prizes and trophy.

Vacancy.
I mentioned at the last AGM that due to ill health 2024 will be my last year as Secretary, Treasurer and Results Secretary for this league. I will be retiring at the 2025 AGM in February. We desperately need somebody to take over from me as without a Secretary the league cannot function. I will give every help to my successor. Can you all please think about it and consider taking on this role/roles? It has been my pleasure looking after the league for the past years but it now needs someone new. (Please don;t all rush at once applying.) Pat.
